A Bit of Biography
Wally James was born in Woodstock, Ontario,
the heart of Ontario auctioneering country. A married father of three
and a resident of Apsley for almost twenty years, Mr. James is currently
employed as a Child and Youth Counsellor with a local school board.
While pursuing a lifelong interest in collectibles and antiques,
Mr. James has amassed several large collections over the years. As a
boy, his first collection was old bottles, mostly found partially
buried in defunct landfill sites.
His passion for collecting has since
expanded to many other areas, including antique game boards, keys, marbles
and vintage toys.
In 2005, Mr. James became a qualified auctioneer after
graduating from the Canadian School of Auctioneering at Georgian College
in Barrie, Ontario. He is very excited about this latest addition to
his skills. Since graduation, Mr. James has started his own auction service,
Apsley Auctions, to better serve the needs of his clients.
